As Brock followed other guests who obstructed her view, she was unaware of the impending hazard until it was too late. Her scooter hit the turn, causing it to tip over and resulting in her fall.

The lawsuit targets Carnival Corporation, seeking compensation for medical expenses, pain, suffering, and additional damages, according to reports. Brock asserts that her pre-existing medical conditions were exacerbated by the fall. Her legal team contends that Carnival failed to identify a clear hazard and did not take adequate measures to ensure the safety of passengers, particularly those using mobility devices.

This case has gained traction amid ongoing discussions about Carnival and mobility scooters. On May 11, 2026, an elderly woman tragically lost her life when her scooter fell off a dock at Celebration Key, Carnival's private island in the Bahamas. Although Brock's lawsuit and this incident are unrelated, the timing has led to both stories being discussed together. Currently, Brock's case does not have a trial date and is still progressing through the legal system.
